[əm'tʃɑːliː], Oswald Joseph Mbuyiseni, südafrikanischer Lyriker, * Vryheid (Natal) 17. 1. 1940; leistete mit seiner Lyrik (»Sounds of a cowhide drum«, 1971), deren zum Vortrag geeigneter Stil sich auf die mündliche afrikanische Erzähltradition besinnt, den entscheidenden Beitrag zur Identitätsfindung und Popularität der schwarzen Protestlyrik der Jahre vor 1976 (Beginn der Unruhen von Soweto). Sein zweiter Gedichtband »Fireflames« (1980) verbindet apokalyptische Metaphorik mit einer radikaleren politischen Aussage.
